Hello Folks,

To help cover the cost of the group, I’ve instituted a $1 per person per meeting fee. This money will be used to cover the Meetup cost (organizers have to pay), supplies (e.g. name tags), door prizes, and other expenses I incur as organizer.

Jules has also agreed to be an assistant organizer. Jules will be helping plan fun activities.

Starting with our next meeting (March 12), we will be playing various icebreaker games and doing some more mingling rather than just sitting around a table. We’ll do the mingling before dinner and get to know a little bit about everyone. Then you can sit with the people you want to know more about during dinner.

Jules and I found a nice little place called CarlyRae’s in old Louisville. We decided to have the meetings there for the next several month to give some consistency to the group.

Now I must ask a favor of each of you. Please make a commitment to come to the socials. They are always the second Thursday of the month and for the next few months, always in the same place. Each month a few people show up and wonder where everyone else is. If I could get all of you to show up at once, or heck even 20% of you, we’d have a good size group. You joined this group to meet people, come on out and do it.
